Cannot remove appliances

johanpalmaer
I've tried to unpublish appliances and thereafter removing them.
Sometimes I succeed, but mostly I don't make it.

I'm currently using Internet Explorer 9 and Opera 11.61 on a Windows 7 on my laptop.

In Internet Explorer 9 nothing at all seem to work; nor creating appliances, nor anything else, so I've stopped use it when working in Susestudio.

In Opera 11.61, I can create, build, and publish new appliances. It works pretty fine.
But when coming to removing appliances, certain problems seem to appear.

Should I stop using Opera as well, or do I need to change some Internet settings to get it work?
Or shouold I try to use Firefox instead? Or what could I otherwise try to do?

I've covered that it works perfectly well to remove appliances when using Firefox 10.0.2 on Windows 7.

So, I've now switched (back) to use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer or Opera when working in Susestudio.

Thanks for the update! Firefox and Chrome works best (since this is what
our developers use), though IE9 should usually work as well.

Thanks,

Re: Cannot remove appliances

A year ago I was using Internet Explorer 8 on Win32-bit, and that worked fine together with Susestudi, while I'm today using Internet Explorer 9 on Win64-bit on a new laptop.

When running on IE9/win64 I mainly got following errors:

First of all, no appliances are loaded at all when I'm trying to do that. It's just looping and nothing happens. So I cannot access to my appliances and modify them etc.

Secondly, when trying to create new appliances and when trying to remove appliances the whole screen become grey...(I then simply ESC and the screen switch back to normal mode), but no appliances were created nor removed.

Settings (Internet options) may need to be changed, but if I do then may problems occur when running other applications.

So I now prefer to use Firefox since that seem to works fine.
(I may switch back later on, but not for the very moment)

I'm avoiding Chrome. I'd certain problems when I evaluated it. I'm running several browsers in parallel, and Chrome seem to work fine when running it by sole but not when running it together with other browsers. (Other guys may have better experiences?)
