how to enable Gnome desktop icons by default

raymonde
I really wonder why dektop icons are disabled by default in Gnome. It doesn't seem very user friendly to me.

I know how to change this in the settings menu when the build is installed, but I would really prefer if my build had this enabled by default.

Is there a script I can run before building or some other way to have desktop icons enabled on fresh installations?

Hope someone can help.

May the source be with you.

You can try using the modified files feature in Testdrive to figure out
which file changed and add that back to the appliance.

Otherwise, it's probably best to ask on a GNOME specific mailing list
where all the GNOME experts are. Hope that helps.
